Recycling Center Attendant - Part Time

DUTIES:
This is responsible work attending the daily operations of the City’s Recycling Center. Duties involve greeting the public, handling recyclables, and performing grounds maintenance duties.  Work is performed primarily out-of-doors.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Director, Public Works.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, safety rules, departmental policies and procedures.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and public.  Ability to operate medium to large equipment, i.e. backhoe, grapple tractor & fork lift.  Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, squat, twist and push on a daily basis. Work outside. Possess valid Georgia Driver's license. 

HS Diploma or equivalent. 

EXAMINATION:
Will consist of an interview, criminal history, driving history, and work background check. Successful post-offer, pre-employment drug screen.

DUTIES:
The Investigative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting criminal investigations by conducting follow-up activities, gathering evidence, and assisting in case development. This position involves interacting with victims, performing database searches, and compiling information to assist detectives in building and advancing cases. Position will be scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week. Works under the supervision of the Detective Sergeant.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field preferred. Prior experience in a law enforcement or investigative support role is advantageous. Experience with database management and customer service is a plus.


EXAMINATION:
Will consist of an application review, panel interview; an evaluation of prior education and work experience; and a criminal and credit history background check.  There will be a rigid personal and work background investigation.   Also the successful candidate must pass a post offer, pre-employment drug test, psychological, polygraph and physical examination.

DUTIES:    This is responsible and professional work in assisting Park staff in general duties.  Applicant will be involved with league scorekeeping, planning, organizing and supervising a wide variety of recreational, athletic programming and special events.  Direction is provided by the Director of Recreation and Parks and/or Facility Coordinator.  Incumbent must exercise personal judgment and discretion in general office duties and supervising activities based on established policies, procedures and schedules. Incumbent will be working a variety of days/shifts with majority being during the evening and weekend. 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  High School diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Physical Education or related field preferred; or partial completion of major course work; or a combination of training, education and/or experience in Parks & Recreation and/or athletic profession.  Must be 17 years of age or older.

PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER  - Parks and Recreation Department

 

Minimum Starting Salary:   $38,953.00 per year ($18.72 per hour)

DUTIES:
Be a part of a team working together to maintain recreational grounds at T.W. Briscoe Park and all City Park facilities. Incumbent will oversee individuals performing community service.  Work involves performing heavy manual labor, operating a variety of landscape and mowing equipment, janitorial duties, possible light construction projects and a variety of other projects as assigned. Weekend, evening and holiday work required. 40 hours per week, 10 hour days 7a – 6p. Changes in regular work schedule may be necessary on an as needed basis for Park Special events and tournaments.  Position reports directly to the Park Maintenance Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous landscaping experience and/or trade profession preferred. Knowledge and ability to operate various tools and mechanical equipment necessary for turf maintenance and general maintenance work.  Ability to read and understand operating instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and public.  Lift up to 100 lbs., bend, squat, twist, crawl and climb on a daily basis.  Work outside in any kind of weather.   Possess valid Georgia Driver's license and a good motor vehicle record.

DUTIES:
Responsible work performing emergency 911 communications services for the Police Department.  Emergency calls and service requests are received from the public and incumbents are required to contact the unit(s) to be dispatched given the type of incident, locations and other pertinent information.  Work involves the operation of a radio system, telephone, NCIC/GCIC terminal, computer and other equipment.  Position provides other clerical services such as data entry, filing and logging information in record books.  Shift rotation required.  Works under the supervision of the Communications Supervisor.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent.  Some experience in emergency communications work preferred.  Experience in related clerical work with proficient computer skills and a minimum data entry of 50 wpm.  Experience in computer operations is required. Must have the ability to deal tactfully with public and local & state law enforcement officials.  Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

DUTIES:

This is general law enforcement work responsible for protecting life and property and enforcing laws and ordinances.  Work involves routine patrol in assigned area, responding to emergency calls, alarms and citizen complaints.  Duties include traffic enforcement, assignments, preliminary investigations and other related work.  An officer of higher ranks reviews work assignments.  Work requires independent judgment and discretion in difficult or unusual situations.  Work involves an element of personal danger.  Work is performed under the general supervision of a police Corporal.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
