The following applies to Snelville Parks and Recreation-run programs:
Registration Procedure
All activity registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis and must be completed via mail or at the Park Office. Payment must accompany registration and we do not hold spots via the phone.
Cancellation Procedure
Most classes and activities are funded by registration fees. If a sufficient number of people do not register we will notify you and send you a refund. If you do not hear from our Department, please go to your first class as scheduled.
Inclement Weather
Class instructors will notify students of cancellation. The Soccer program uses the Youth Programs page to post rain outs due to weather. Please call your coach for more detailed information. Please refer to the Adult Programs page to find field status for Adult Softball.
Policies for Credit Card Payment
The Parks and Recreation Department accepts credit card and debit payments (MasterCard and Visa) for all in office registrations. The card holder must be present and have a picture I.D. shown when paying with a card. Please note: When a refund is requested it will be given in the form of a check mailed by the City of Snellville. No refunds are given in cash or credited back to credit cards.
Refund Policy
Fees are 100 percent refundable when a class or program is cancelled by the Department. Anyone withdrawing from an activity or rental not cancelled by the Department must request a refund in writing no less than fourteen calendar days prior to that activity or rental. Request for cancellation made less than fourteen calendar days will not receive a refund of the class/program. A $10 administrative fee will be deducted from approved refunds. Please note: When a refund is requested it will be given in the form of a check mailed by the City of Snellville. No refunds are given in cash or credited back to credit cards. A written doctor's excuse is necessary for any cancellation after the first class. Those medically excused will receive a prorated refund. We do not refund facility rentals fees due to poor weather conditions.
Resident Policy
Proof of residency is required for all activities/rentals. Non-residents are required to pay an additional fee and non-county residents an additional fee above listed activity costs.
