Snellville’s The Grove at Towne Center was named the Medium Redevelopment Project of the Year at the Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit Wednesday.
“As we continue to move toward full activation of the The Grove with restaurants and a brewery opening in 2025, it’s exciting to be recognized by the Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit,” said Mayor Barbara Bender. “We are proud of The Grove and look forward to filling the space with friends and neighbors who will enjoy a quality, family-friendly destination for years to come.”
The Grove is a transformative development in the heart of Snellville. With 33,000 square feet of restaurant space, 10,000 square feet of retail, residential space at The Tomlin, and the new Elizabeth H. Williams Branch of the Gwinnett Public Library, The Grove offers an ideal blend of dining, shopping and cultural experiences. Numerous new businesses will open in the Grove in 2025, including Crooked Can Brewery (along with a food hall) and two restaurants overlooking the green space and splash pad.
The Grove is a $140 million public-private partnership between the City of Snellville, Gwinnett County, MidCity Real Estate Partners, and CASTO. The development was recognized at the Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit, presented by Gwinnett’s Community Improvement Districts, and co-hosted by Partnership Gwinnett and the Council for Quality Growth. The annual event highlights emerging trends in redevelopment and showcases exemplary developments and best practices for revitalization.
“Community redevelopment is essential in creating vibrant, thriving spaces that enhance the quality of life and drive sustainable economic growth for the entire region,” said Deven Cason, vice president of Economic Development for Partnership Gwinnett. “We proudly congratulate this year’s award winners and finalists for their innovative contributions and tireless efforts in revitalizing our communities. Their work is not only reshaping local landscapes but also fueling long-term economic prosperity in metro Atlanta. We are grateful for their dedication to building a brighter, more prosperous future.”
