Alcohol Beverage Licenses

If your business is interested in serving/selling alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and/or distilled spirits) within the minicipal limits of the City of Snellville, please contact Gabriela Vega (770) 985-3514 or email gvega@snellville.org for information.

Applicants must meet business type, citiizenship, zoning, location, and distance requirements and must furnish data, fingerprints, financial responsibilty, and other records as required by the Planning & Development Department and to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Snellville Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance. 

The application process includes: compliance with the Snellville Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance; completion of application forms; completion of fingerprinting and background investigation by the Snellville Police Department for investigation by the GBI; and payment of application and license fees.

Businesses must also obtain (and maintain) a valid Georgia Alcohol License from the Alcohol and Tobacco Division of the Georgia Department of Revenue (404) 417-4900 GA State Alcohol License Information

The City allows Retail Package Licensees (for off-premises consumption) to sell alcoholic beverages (beer and wine only) between the hours of 7:00 a.m to 12:00 midnight (Monday through Saturday) and Retail Consumption Licensees (for on-premises consumption) to serve and sell alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and distilled spirits) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight (Monday through Saturday).  The City DOES NOT permit the serving or sale of any alcoholic beverages on SUNDAY.  The Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance DOES NOT permit retail package sales of distilled spirits (Liquor Stores).

Snellville Alcoholic Beverage Licenses expire December 15th of each year, while the Georgia Alcohol Licenses expire December 31st of each year.  The City will mail out renewal applications in November.  Please contact the Georgia Department of Revenue (404) 417-4900 or visit them at www.ganet.org/revenue/alcohol/renewal to renew your Georgia Alcohol License.
